Jefferson Wilson has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Neurosurgery at St. Michael’s Hospital in the Department of Surgery and as a Surgeon-Scientist, effective, July 1, 2016. Jeff entered the neurosurgery program at University of Toronto after completing his MD at the University of Saskatchewan in 2007. He completed a PhD during residency in the Surgeon-Scientist Program under the mentorship of Michael Fehlings and Abhaya Kulkarni. Jeff’s thesis was focused on the epidemiology and clinical epidemiology of traumatic spinal cord injury. After graduating from the Toronto program in 2015, Jeff completed a fellowship in complex spine surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. Jeff returns to Toronto as a Surgeon Scientist at St. Michael's Hospital with clinical focus on the full spectrum of spinal disorders.
