On June 15-16, we welcomed Dr. Kee Park (Paul Farmer Global Surgery Scholar, Harvard Medical School) as our 42nd William S. Keith Visiting Professor at Toronto Western Hospital/BMO Education and Conference Centre. Dr. Park presented two highly informative lectures, entitled “Global Neurosurgery: The current capacity and deficit in the provision of essential neurosurgical care” and “Challenges in global neurosurgery: From personal to political”. He also served on the judging panel for the Morley Prize competition for best resident clinical research presentations. This year’s winners were Jamie Purzner (1st Prize) and Allan Martin (2nd Prize).
