Mohammed Shamji and Taufik Valiante have each been awarded a 2015 Director’s Kickstart Award by the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. These awards will provide funding for Dr. Shamji’s research on the epigenetics of failed back surgery syndrome and Dr. Valiante’s work on developing a platform for contingent brain stimulation in humans.
